About Ije

My name is Ije Nweze. NCPS & ACC registered counsellor and psychotherapist working London wide and I offer online based counselling & Therapy (short or long term)

My way of working is integrative and I draw from several approaches in psychotherapeutic Counselling (person-centred, CBT, psychodynamics). As a christian counsellor, I understand "The Spirit" to be the core of everything. I overcame and now aware.
I am a nuturer and helper to those sent to me. I truly care.

I am Mental Health Advocate, musician, muscle relation therapist, boundaries & confidence enhancer, young people’s mentor, african dance coach. I am very talented and creative, and this aids my counselling practice.

Life experiences brought me this far and I’m here because I did not give in. I couldn’t envision the kind of illness that would keep someone so down that they lack the ability to carry out their day-to-day chores and so I began my journey as a counsellor. With my training, supervision, and counselling work with clients, I have a clearer understanding about individual issues and from different perspectives.

My passion to help and support people have been my unwavering drive for providing a hand holding enabling space and a soft-landing bedrock for my clients going through life’s difficulties.

I work with varied presenting issues, i.e., bereavement, anxiety and family issues, and low self-esteem and confidence issues, relationship breakdowns, building boundaries, domestic abuse and parenting issues, anxiety, panic, depression, etc I also double up as a coach and mentor for young people, women and new parents. (Parental consent must be provided is writing before therapy progress).

I am professional in my approach, empathetic, good listener, honest, respectful, trust worthy, and can build good build rapport to aid collaboration between myself and my clients.

Aside my counselling work, I am a mother, a housing professional, mental health advocate, young life coach, mentor, and author. I work with my clients to build personal safety boundaries and I am the confidence enhancer. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and can go extra mile to ensure my clients feel heard.

For many years, there has been misunderstandings and stigma around mental health & therapy, and even more so within Black & Ethnic Minority communities and I use my experiences and platforms to provide relevant information to the communities where I live and work.

I work in line with NCPS ethical framework and set principles, which helps to ensure that therapy contract and boundaries are maintained. Whatever it is you are dealing with, we can talk about it and amicably work through it. My service is strictly confidential as long as no harm to self or others is identified. Which would mean that anything discussed in the therapy room stays in the room, except disclosure of harm to self and others have been made. That being said, every action will be discussed and agreed upon.

I provide a compassionate, yet down-to-earth approach to therapy, taking account of your unique history and experience. I am experienced, accredited, and live in East London. I offer telephone counselling, online therapy, or face to face work, and anyone feeling stuck, can get help to move forward. I also offer faith-based counselling and a range of counselling approaches psychodynamics, existential, and CBT depending on your preference.

My Person centered approach will give you, the opportunity to explore, express and thrive, without fear of being judged.

You are the number one and everything you say matters most.
